Permanent, Full-time, Bournemouth/Poole-based with regular expenses-paid travel across Dorset & Hampshire, c. £22k-£25k depending on experience & abilities, with opportunities to increase salary with clear career progression as the company expands.


In this role you will provide onsite support to clients for all aspects of HR. You will need an ability to communicate in plain English; no legal jargon, nor obsession with best practice. Our business is successful because our clients like us to advise them with the commercial requirements of their business in mind.


We see this as key role to provide advice and HR support to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work onsite and remotely for a variety of clients and we promise you will never be bored.


There will also be opportunities to learn from observing our HR Guru who works with clients at a higher strategic level.


You will need to be able to show us signs of commercial awareness, a passion for learning and good old fashioned common sense.


You will have at least 2-3 years’ experience of working in a HR Advisor role and be aware of the issues that people managers face. You will be proficient in Microsoft applications and have an extremely high level of attention to detail. You will be an outgoing and friendly communicator, with the assertiveness and confidence to deal with people at all levels of an organisation.


As you will be joining a young and growing business that receives 100% of its income from referrals and recommendations, an element of networking is involved in the role. You will be expected to attend the occasional breakfast meeting (usually 7:30am start) or early evening event (usually 8pm finish) with a view to building long-term relationships with prospective clients and introducers.


Your business development duties will include:


  • Representing the Company at networking meetings to help the business grow
  • Supporting the Company with marketing support in the form of writing material for newsletters, email updates and PR articles on HR topics
  • Building a portfolio of clients through attendance at networking events, seminars, and receiving referrals

You will have an opportunity to develop your role as well as your career with the Company, so we are looking for someone with long-term ambition, not someone just looking for a short-term change of scenery.


You will be expected to work hard, but we play hard at Streetwise HR and your performance will be rewarded appropriately after successful completion of your probationary period. The majority of the role will either be spent on-site with clients or in the office.
