For over 25 years, Britannia has been successfully managing car parks across the country and is one of the most well-known and respected car park operators in the UK.

THE PROBLEM

Before we started working with Britannia in 2009, their HR was covered internally but there wasn’t a designated, experienced HR professional in the business. As Britannia grew, they soon realised they needed an outsourced HR partner that could grow with them and provide all the advice and support they would need to continue going from strength to strength. This is where we came in.

THE SOLUTION

We began our HR services by assessing what processes Britannia had in place, reviewing their documentation and ensuring they had what was required moving forward. This involved rewriting contracts and policies and providing support and guidance on staff related matters that had previously not been resolved.

The next stage was to build relationships with the key Managers, ensuring they had the right advice available whenever they needed it so the business could become more proactive and productive. At this point, Brian Parker, now CEO, was a Regional Manager and we like to think we had a helping hand in where he is today!

With over 200 employees, Britannia is currently our largest client and both our businesses have evolved over the past 11 years. We provide the company with a full range of HR support at three different levels; HR Director, HR Advisor and HR Assistant.

The HR Director deals with the Board, reviewing strategy, structures, HR planning and coaching a relatively new cohort of Directors.

In regular attendance at Britannia’s Head Office, the HR Advisor delivers management training, daily advice and support across all areas of the business, including recruitment of new roles and attendance at interviews, tailored documentation and letters.

The HR Assistant operates a dedicated inbox, collating weekly and monthly payrolls, regular updating of holiday entitlements, updating the HR system and shared folders, and processing new starters and leavers.

These are just some examples of the areas we cover for Britannia as we provide many more HR support services and part of our successful relationship has been that we have been able to adapt our level of service to the requirements of the business.
