ABOUT URBAN GUILD
As Urban’s designated grown-ups we have worked and supported Mark Cribb and the team for over 13 years. Being foodies ourselves it is easy to get on board with the Urban ethos and Marks positive energy makes our job a joy! Coffees on the beach are an added bonus. THE PROBLEM
What a journey it has been working with Mark and the team at Urban Guild over the last 10 years. As a traditionally fast-paced industry, and owner Mark’s entrepreneurship that means he’s always looking for the next venture to add to his growing empire, they certainly know how to keep us on our toes.
As a quick moving and expanding business, Urban Guild has faced many challenges over the years, most recently being the COVID-19 pandemic, and have needed our expertise to navigate these successfully.
THE SOLUTION
As part of our outsourced HR services for Urban Guild, we provide HR advice, administration and payroll services. When a new venue acquisition appears, it’s also all hands-on deck to ensure everything is set up for all the new staff being hired.
While Debbie still works closely with Mark, he has become less hands on so the team at Streetwise HR has taken over and now works alongside the senior team and managers on all day to day people matters.
It is no secret that anyone in hospitality was knocked sideways by the COVID-19 pandemic and Urban were sadly no exception. We worked with them throughout this period and remained flexible and commercial in our advice and approach in order to support the necessary recovery plan.
Not only do the Streetwise HR team look after Urban Guild’s HR to help keep our local, friendly and huggable Urban venues in business, we also help by frequenting their bars and restaurants as much as possible!
